Rochester's Gun Violence State of Emergency Extended for Another Month

Mayor Malik Evans has announced the extension of Rochester's Gun Violence State of Emergency for another month.

The previous 30-day was set to expire last Thursday, but the extension was filed that afternoon.

City officials say the order allows them to dedicate all possible resources to cutting down the number of shootings.

The emergency order has been in place since July.
