- The North American Aerospace Defense Command will spend its 67th year tracking Santa for kids around the entire world beginning December 1st.
- The tradition began in 1955ย when a young girl called the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center in Colorado Springs thinking she would speak to Santa after seeing a newspaper ad.

- You can also check on Santa's whereabouts by phone: 1-877-HI-NORAD. Last year NORAD received more than 53,000 calls on Christmas Eve looking for Santa.
